Hey Friend, I'm not sure if you're just starting in your path to knowledge and power, if you've been trucking away at it for a while, or if you're a seasoned occult veteran. What I am pretty sure about is that all of usmeet brick walls in our growth. You can actually see this in action in just about every avenue of personal development. You'll find that you can start building your financial empire and make quite a bit of headway... up to a point. You'll reach an invisible ceiling, and you'll have no idea why or how to move beyond it. It's almost like the universe is telling you, "That's plenty for you," and moves on to the next hopeful contestant. You can push your body to do amazing things: to build muscle and lose fat in all the right places; run nonstop for several miles and feel great doing it; bicycle; yoga; pilates. But, with all of these, you'll find that you will at some point hit a wall. You won't be able to put another inch on your arms, or lose another inch off... wherever. You won't be able to run a mile farther, hold the pose a second longer, no matter how hard you try, no matter how often you return to the exercise. This is nowhere more the case than in spiritual development. But, I have good news for you, with a warning. If you understand this principle, then these obstacles are almost humorous to encounter. If you neglect to accept and apply this principle, then these hurdles will be some of the most frustrating events you'll ever have to deal with. It is at this crucial breaking point, when it seems that you can move no further or ascend no higher, that you will either give up on your dreams and goals, the obstacle itself steamrolling over you - OR... ...you'll take this advice and push triumphantly beyond all resistance, now and forever! |
But, I have good news for you, with a warning. If you understand this principle, then these obstacles are almost humorous to encounter. If you neglect to accept and apply this principle, then these hurdles will be some of the most frustrating events you'll ever have to deal with.
It is at this crucial breaking point, when it seems that you can move no further or ascend no higher, that you will either give up on your dreams and goals, the obstacle itself steamrolling over you - OR you'll take this advice and push triumphantly beyond all resistance, now and forever!
The reason that you hit this wall and are unable to move beyond it is because you're trying to do it as the person that you are, rather than the person that you want to be.
Let me ask you: why can some people go from being absolutely broke to being millionaires within a couple of years?
Why can't YOU do that?
Why do some people seem to have perfect bodies, amazing health, and all the energy that they need, plus some extra?
Why don't YOU have that?
Why do some folks appear to have the perfect relationships, spending their lives with beautiful, sexy, ambitious, loving people?
Why can't YOU have that?
The envious list could go on forever, but regardless of what it is that you want out of your life, the answer to why you don't have it - and how you can get it - often comes down to the same root.
That answer is that you have programmed your body, mind, and even your subtle bodies (astral, causal, and mental, specifically) to behave a certain way.
Unfortunately, this behavioral programming is modeled on past experience. If you've always been poor, you automatically begin to program that reality into the makeup of your core self, as a way to understand yourself and your place in the world. If you've spent most of your life overweight, addicted to substances, or generally powerless over circumstances, you program that into the self-matrix as well.
So, you can see that as long as you have this embedded programming running behind the scenes, that it will never be a matter of what you do, but instead a matter of who you are that makes the difference.
And I think that if we all are able to take an honest inventory of the people that we are, we're all going to find that although we have good and admirable traits, there are also those aspects of ourselves that hold us back.
Now, when you backlight this personal inventory against the grand vision of Becoming a Living God, it is clear that a certain alchemy of the self needs to take place. We need to put an end to the person that we are in order to give birth to the Gods that we want to become.
I'm sorry to say that the method that I'm going to give you here is very simple. I say that "I'm sorry to say," because I know that people who have always had to do things the hard way have programmed themselves to believe that everything worthwhile must be hard. If you're the type of person who has always had to struggle, then I ask that you engage in this exercise out of curiosity or entertainment, and you'll still find that it produces amazing results. I'll also take this opportunity to remind you that most of the mysteries of power are indeed simple. In fact, they're so simple that most people overlook them.
Now, this exercise is one that I've put into action in my life at least three times I can think of. Each time, I was able to look over my written goals and notice how they have effortlessly materialized in my life, without having to put forth any additional effort.
Step 1.On a piece of paper, write down the personal inventory I was talking about earlier. Take into account all of the good and the bad and ugly about yourself. Try to make this in a list format, so it's easy to look over and get a good idea of the person that you are. BE HONEST. No one will ever see this but you. Also write down recurring negative patterns that you notice in your life, whether or not they are in your control.
Step 2.Take a black marker or a bottle of white-out and mark over the attributes of yourself that you like, that are positive, and that contribute to your growth. These are the aspects of yourself and your life that don't need to be effected and can remain intact through the alchemical fire.
Step 3.Draw a simple pentagram on the paper, large enough to cover most of the page. If for whatever reason you feel like using another symbol (mercury, sulfur, a cross, etc.), go for it! This is your ritual, so make it your own!
Step 4.Gaze at the symbol in the same way that you would activate a sigil, relaxing your gaze and falling into the theta/gamma sync. This is where the interesting stuff happens. The symbol will flash and will essentially become a gateway into the worlds of spirit; your scrying vision will not only activate the symbol as a gateway, but the words beneath the drawn symbol as well; combined with your intention to destroy these aspects of yourself, you are pointing a devastating weapon at those brick walls that you face. You can verbalize this if you wish, as a command: "This person who I once was is now dead."
Step 5.Burn the piece of paper and scatter the ashes into the earth or into the water. Those aspects of yourself are free to die.
Step 6.Take a second sheet of paper and write down attributes of the person that you would like to become. Basically, visualize how you would look, how you would act, feel, and think, if you had no limitations. I've used this exact method to become a wealthier person, healthier, in better shape, happier, fulfilled in every way.
Step 7.Again, draw a symbol of power over this piece of paper, and activate it as a gateway between the worlds.
Step 8.State your intention: "I have become the person that I am!" It is important to have a clear vision of who that person is, and to emotionally connect with it, bringing the emotions of absolute success into the immediate present tense, so that when you say, "I have become the person that I am, " that you know it to be true.
Step 9.Fold the paper up and put it away in a drawer, box, desk, or journal.
At some point, you'll forget about this whole ritual. Shortly after you do, you'll find this piece of paper and realize that every aspect of yourself that you wanted to leave behind is gone, and every attribute that you wanted to possess is enjoyed.
Now, don't restrict this to major compulsions or disorders. We might be a little crazy, but we're not all off our rockers either. You don't have to be a wreck to be able to improve your life. Extend this ritual into any avenue of your life to see things drastically change, seemingly effortlessly!
Many of you are going to get right onto this ritual - you're going to actually settle in and perform this technique in order to manifest real change in your life, without worrying about "how it works" and "why it works". On the other hand, there are some other magicians who may think performing "spells" for self-change is over their head - or perhaps they don't understand the astral/mental underpinning behind how it works. If this is the case, I strongly encourage you to take a peek at my Become A Living God eBook.
Inside this practical guide, I lay down a proper foundation for your understanding of the ways magick works - and WHY it works. You literally can go from beginner to intermediate practitioner within the hour or two it takes to read the whole book. (Of course, it takes a lifetime to practice and glean all the learning from it)
If you still need to "freshen up" your comprehension of the ins and outs of the occult, or you'd like to get the best possible introduction to magick you can, give this book a shot. You can download a totally free 7-day trial of it right here:
